Herbs have been used for centuries by many different cultures. As with all modalities of natural healing, one must do their research and not take whatever can be purchased at the store indiscriminately. Just because it is in a bottle on a store shelf does not mean it is safe for you. Do your homework and if possible, talk to a holistic practitioner (see our Finding a Holistic Practitioner).
Nowadays, herbs are ready made and can be purchased at the health food store. One CAN use fresh or dried herbs to make their own preparations but for those of us without the extra time, store bought is quicker and convenient. Herbs for Kids is one brand we have used and liked.
